Everything you need to know about your child’s days at Syndal: starting with us, kinder options, fees, health and safety, and who to talk to. Please read it and sign the last page before your child starts.
Hours
7:00am – 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, 52 weeks a year. Closed on Victorian public holidays.
$155 a day, all included
Before the Child Care Subsidy. Includes all meals and snacks, nappies, sunscreen and free orientation.
Before & after kinder care
Before kinder (7:00–8:30am) $23.25 pre-booked or $25.00 casual. After kinder (4:00–6:00pm) $31.00 pre-booked or $33.00 casual. CCS may apply.

Every day, on the iPad at the entrance. It keeps everyone safe and is how your CCS is calculated.
Two weeks’ notice
To change days or leave, please give us two weeks’ notice in writing. Fees apply on booked days, including absences.
Pick-up by 6:00pm
A late fee of $3 per minute, per child, applies after closing. Sessional-only kinder children are collected by 4:00pm.

What do we need before the first day?
Your enrolment form, a CCS application in myGov, your child’s immunisation history statement, any medical management plans (asthma, allergies, anaphylaxis and so on), copies of any court orders, and the two-week deposit. You’ll also be invited to three free one-hour orientation sessions with your child.
What should we pack?
A labelled backpack with a drink bottle, a legionnaire or bucket hat, a full change of clothes and a comfort item for rest time. Nappies are supplied for long day care. Families in Free Sessional Kinder only need to bring nappies if required. We’re a nut-free and egg-free centre.
What are the kinder options?
Integrated Kinder runs inside long day care all year (7:00am–6:00pm). Free Sessional Kinder runs Monday and Wednesday, 8:30am–4:00pm, in school terms, and is free for eligible children. Before and after kinder care can be added on sessional days. See Kinder 2027.
How does the Child Care Subsidy work?
CCS is paid straight to us, so you pay the gap. Since January 2026 every eligible family gets at least 72 subsidised hours a fortnight per child, and up to 100 hours with more than 48 hours of activity a fortnight. Full fees apply until your CCS is linked. Try our gap fee calculator.
When should my child stay home?
If they’ve had a fever (37.8°C or more), vomiting, diarrhoea, a constant cough, a rash or discharging eyes in the past 24 hours, if they’ve had Panadol or Nurofen for a temperature in the past 24 hours, or if it’s the first 24 hours on antibiotics.
