At Syndal Child Care, we are excited to participate in the Victorian Free Kinder 2025 Initiative, offering subsidized kindergarten programs for eligible children. This government initiative helps families access quality early education for both three-year-old and four-year-old programs, supporting the development of young children across Victoria.
What is Free Kindergarten in Victoria?
The Free Kinder 2025 program provides 15 hours of subsidized kindergarten per week for both three-year-old and four-year-old children. This initiative helps ensure that every child has access to two years of quality early education. Research shows that children who attend two years of kindergarten are better equipped academically, socially, and emotionally for their future schooling and life.
Eligibility for Free Kindergarten
To be eligible for the Free Kinder subsidy, children must meet the following criteria:
- For Three-Year-Old Kinder:
- Your child must be 3 years old by April 30, 2025.
- Enrolled for a minimum of two days per week in the three-year-old kindergarten program.
- For Four-Year-Old Kinder:
- Your child must be 4 years old by April 30, 2025.
- Enrolled for a minimum of two days per week in the four-year-old kindergarten program.
How Much Can You Save?
The Free Kinder subsidy provides up to $2,050 for kinder services as part of a long daycare program. If your child attends Syndal Child Care’s three-year-old and four-year-old kindergarten programs for at least two days per week, you can save up to $4,100 across two years.
