Nutritious Meals for Growing Children
Before your child starts with us, you must complete the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) assessment on the MyGov website. This process will determine your eligibility and the level of subsidy you are entitled to. Processing CCS can take some time, so we recommend familiarizing yourself with Centrelink’s processes to avoid delays. Full fees will apply until your subsidy is confirmed through our system.
CCS Eligibility is determined by three factors:
- Family Income: The combined family income will determine the percentage of subsidy you are eligible for.
- Activity Test: This determines the number of hours of subsidized care your family can access, up to a maximum of 100 hours per fortnight.
- Child Care Type: The type of child care service affects the hourly rate cap.
Eligibility Requirements:
- The child must be under 13 years old and not attending secondary school.
- The child must meet immunization requirements.
- The parent(s) must meet residency requirements.
In two-parent families, both parents (unless exempt) must meet the activity test. If parents meet different levels of the test, the parent with the lower entitlement will determine the number of subsidized care hours.
Subsidy Hours Based on the Activity Test
The number of subsidized care hours a family can access is determined by the activity test. Here’s a breakdown of the subsidy hours based on your activity level:
Step | Hours Of Activity* | Maximum Number of Hours of Subsidy per child |
1 | 8-16 hours | 36 hours |
2 | More than 16 hours to 48 hours | 72 hours |
3 | More than 48 hours | 100 hours |
Low-income families | No activity test required | 24 hours per fortnight (if income is $66,958 or less) |
